Trinity Beach Esplanade Left Side

We will be breaking down the beach in 2 areas as both sides (left and right when you are facing the ocean) have some amazing spots to explore while walking the dog.

The left side has a great esplanade that has lots of benches where you can sit down with your dog. They also have a few BBQ areas, so you can bring your dog while having a barbeque with friends at the beach! Amazing, right?!

A bit further down you have stairs that go all the way up to an amazing lookout. This is a great spot to look over Trinity Beach and the ocean. I’ve taken Biggie here many times to enjoy the ocean and the views.

Once you have taken a few cool pictures on top of the hill, you may want to head back down to the beach.

However, there is a short trail if you keep walking which will lead you to Taylors Point. We will talk more about this later in this post.

The left side of the beach has a dog-friendly off leash area. This is one of the 2 spots in Trinity Beach where you can walk your dog off-leash. This beach-walk is about 600 meters long and is a nice closed-off beach area where your dog can run around.

Trinity Beach Esplanade Right Side

The right-side of the esplanade has even better BBQ spots in our opinion as they have direct beach access. The council has installed new benches and BBQ’s last year so all of them are still very new.

This is a very a beautiful walk along the palm trees and holiday homes. I try to go here every morning and it always feels as if I am on a holiday!

Once the path comes to an end you can make your way to the beach which is a small off-leash area for your dog to run around and play with new friends.

There is a tiny freshwater creek running on this side and once you cross this you will see a sign that says: “Ron McKauge Walk” which leads you to the side of Earl Hill.
If you walk this short trail (roughly 250 meters) you will have one of the best views in the area. From here you can see all of Trinity Beach and can also see Yorkeys Knob. There is also a bench so you can sit down and enjoy the view! I like to come here at least once a week and enjoy the amazing view.

Trinity Beach Earl Hill

Earl Hill is located on the other side of Trinity Beach which is close to Bluewater.
Earl Hill has multiple walking tracks and the shortest is 2km return.
It has 2 different trails you can take; one brings you to the top and the other will bring you to Trinity Park Beach.
Earl Hill is a dog-friendly walking track as it’s not a national park and a lot of people take advantage of this.

Once you hit the top you have amazing views over Trinity Beach and you can see Double Island.
The other side of the top you can see Bluewater and Yorkey’s knob and on a very clear day you will even be able to see Cairns!

Trinity Beach Sunbird Dog Park

This is a great little dog park which is located between Trinity Beach and Kewarra Beach and is a perfect choice if you want to let your dog run around.

The Park has some nice Melaleuca trees and it usually gets pretty busy around 5-ish everyday so a great option to socialise your dog.

Another great thing about this dog park is that it’s fully fenced. Be careful as there are a lot of wallabies in the area so make sure to keep your dog on the leash before and after you enter.

Trinity beach Taylors Point

This spot is a bit harder to get to.
Once you drive from the highway towards Trinity Beach, you take a left onto Moore Street and drive all the way to the end of the street. Here you can park your car and are able to continue walking over the 4WD-track.

When you get to the end of the dirt-road you’ll hit the beach and you’ve reached Taylor Point which has some amazing views over Kewarra Beach and all the way to Palm Cove. If the tide is really low you can walk all the way to Kewarra Beach. Just be mindful that crocodiles may be present in these waters so make sure to keep an extra eye out.

It’s a beautiful spot especially at around 5 o’ clock when the sun is slowly dropping behind the hills.

This spot if very popular with locals and their dogs.
