Blu Marlin Bistro
This place is definitely our all-time favourite! They have amazing coffee, delicious food and the best view in town. They serve All Day Breakfast (winner!) which is great as we sometimes like to sleep in during the weekend. However, as they open every day at 6am it’s not a problem if you’re looking to get in early and have a great start of your day – of course with your fur bestie by your side.
Their staff members are super friendly and made sure Biggie was taken care off right from the start. He got lots of attention from the staff, which really made his day. The breakfast meal as well as the coffee we ordered were delicious and the view made us feel like we were on a holiday.
We also ordered some bacon for Biggie, which he was excited about and enjoyed to the fullest!
Blu Marlin is located on the Cairns Board walk next to the reef fleet terminal, with great views over the Trinity Inlet.
This place does get quite busy so make sure to reserve your table!

Wharf One Cafe
Look at that view! Located on one of the best spots in Cairns, also overlooking the Trinity Inlet. You can enjoy all the boats that are passing by while sipping on a great cup of coffee! They are dog-friendly and very welcoming, with a great variety of breakfast and all-day eat options.
Besides breakfast these guys also serve up a great morning/afternoon tea and lunch!
There is also a kid’s playground located next to the restaurant, perfect if your kids want to play while you’re enjoying your free morning.
This place is usually quite busy so make sure to make a booking if you don’t want to miss out!

Michael and Biggie outside of Wharf One Cairns
Mooz Gelato & Juice Bar
Another great spot in Cairns with breathtaking views, overlooking the Cairns Esplanade! It’s also very close to the helipad so you will see a few helicopters come and go while you enjoy your breakfast.
They have a nice little outside seating area in front of the restaurant where you can sit with your dog. If you’re happy for a bit more casual seating, you can sit on one of the bean bags that they have available outside as well.
Except breakfast this place also serves great fresh juices and delicious ice-cream made with local Jersey Milk!

Mooz Cafe outside
Little Blu Cafe
Little Blu Café is Blu Marlin’s little sister and is located in Portsmith. They serve the best coffee in Portsmith and provide breakfast, lunch and take away. Whether you’re looking to have a sit-down breakfast or lunch or are just looking for something quick ‘’on the go’’, Little Blu Café is definitely worth a visit.
They have a nice outdoor area where you can sit with your dog while you have a quick bite! We would recommend getting the Reuben Sandwich which is a local favourite and never disappoints.
