Dog Friendly Restaurants in Palm Cove

Palm Cove Tavern

First on our list has to be the Palm Cove Tavern. They’re not only dog-friendly, but also have a special doggy dine-in menu! It doesn’t get much better than that for your beautiful fur bestie! The tavern has a very laid-back atmosphere where you can watch sports on one of their many big screens in the beer garden, while sipping on a nice cold beverage. They also serve food and even have a kids-menu.

Rattle n Hum Palm Cove

Whether you’re looking for just a refreshing beverage or also wanting some lunch or dinner, Rattle n Hum is the perfect spot to relax with your dog. Dogs are allowed on their outside patio, which is perfect as it gives you a beautiful view over the Palm Cove esplanade and the beach. They serve a variety of (alcoholic) beverages and some great pub food.

Pete’s Place

If you’re looking for a casual place to grab a coffee and/or some great food, make sure to check out Pete’s Place in Palm Cove! And let me tell you, they have the best fried fish in town! They also offer a wide variety of other breakfast- and lunch dishes as well as fresh juices.

We normally order some take away and sit on a blanket at one of the many grass patches by the beach together with Biggie. What better way to spend your free afternoon or watch the sunset with your doggy by your side!
If you don’t feel like sitting on a blanket though, there are also a couple of benches outside of Pete’s Place that you can make use of, or you can sit at one of the many picnic benches on the esplanade.

We’d highly recommend you check our Pete’s Place next time you’re in Palm Cove.

Vivo

If you’re looking for a place that is a bit more fancy and down for some delicious food and wines, Vivo may be the place for you! They’re located in the middle of the esplanade and serve some beautiful lunch and dinner dishes. Vivo also offers a great view over the esplanade and the beach, which will never get old. You are allowed to bring your dog, as long as you’re happy to sit at one of the tables outside, in front of the restaurant. Bon appetite!

Il Forno Pizzeria

We LOVE Italian food! And the pizzas at Il Forno is something you must try when in Palm Cove! It’s a cute little restaurant with both inside and outside seating and their service is impeccable. And even though we’re in tropical paradise, when eating their food, it does make you feel like you’re dining in Italy. We’d highly recommend booking a table in advance as they’re normally quite busy, especially as they don’t have too many seatings. You are allowed to bring your furry friend along, as long as you’re happy to sit outside.

Numi - Ice creamery

Who doesn’t like some ice cream on a hot summer day – which basically means every day in Far North Queensland! This is our favourite ice creamery in Palm Cove where we often end up after a walk with Biggie. Their ice cream and sorbets are mouth-watering and they have lots of different and unique flavours to try. The hubby normally ends up with at least 2 scoops, as making decisions on what to get at this ice cream shop is nearly impossible. They have a few tables and benches outside where you can enjoy your ice cream together with your furry friend.
